The Anchorage Cafe
The Anchorage Cafe is located in the Anchorage area. It is a very small, cozy place with lots of menu options. They unfortunately close at 7 p.m., but they make up for it with breakfast, brunch, and lunch! Their dishes range from small cups of yogurt with granola, to a plate of french toast. They serve salads and sandwiches, along with a small selection of beer and wine. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and drink that they serve. There is a lovely walking path located right by the restaurant, so I frequently stop by the cafe after a walk to grab a quick smoothie. I highly recommend them! If you are looking to be a little less healthy (no judgment), they have a bakery stocked with a lot of great goodies. My favorite part about this restaurant is the overall atmosphere. It has a small town feel, while being located minutes off of Shelbyville Rd. It offers outside patio dining, which you just cannot beat on a sunny day. This cafe is very casual, which is ideal for me when I want to pick up something quickly to go. However, I do occasionally enjoy dressing up and going somewhere a little fancier. Located directly next to The Anchorage Cafe is The Village Anchor. It gives you that same cozy feel, but with more food and drink options and it is a little snazzier. I have included the link to The Village Anchor's website below so you can get some more information should you want to try it. And you should!
